Welcome to Bar Stelo! It’s the perfect addition to Launceston’s fine dining scene. Our philosophy was to create a warm and elegant atmosphere that would make our guests feel welcome and comfortable. Inspired by the cocktail movement and our successful pop-up speakeasy, we created a permanent addition to Stelo. It feels like the restaurant’s virtuous mistress – curvy, high-end, and fun. During the winters of 2021 and 2022, our Pop-up Speakeasy Oscura provided a warm and welcoming Cocktail Bar for thirsty locals and visitors. The hidden bar offered a respite from the cold. The sounds of brass music, swing, and clinking glasses filled the air. The bar’s heart drew people in, creating a unique and memorable experience. Unlike Oscura, Bar Stelo is not hidden – it’s open for everyone to enjoy.
