This wine is displaying uncommon weight and heft even on the nose, with crunchy quince, hachiya persimmon and white pepper characters. Herbaceous and juicy on the palate. Ovum has the vivacious wild spirit of a natural wine, but long fermentation and a full year on lees result in a seriousness far more befitting the top shelf.
