Welcome to Stelo in Launceston, where Tasmania meets Italy. This season we celebrate Campania, the sun-soaked southern region home to Naples, Amalfi, and Salerno. Our menu captures the vibrant energy, flavours, and generosity of this iconic region, brought to life with the best Tasmanian produce.

At Stelo, all pasta is made in-house from Tasmanian flour and potatoes. Our chefs prepare every dish from scratch, from hand-shaped ziti in slow-cooked onion and beef Genovese sauce to delicate baked gnocchi alla Sorrentina with Napoli and mozzarella. You’ll also find Campania classics like porchetta with crackling, mussels steamed with garlic and chilli, and lemon-kissed delizia al limone for dessert.

Our Campania-inspired cocktails, including the standout Italiano Margy, bring the same southern Italian spirit to the glass. Each evening feels like a slice of the Amalfi Coast right here on George Street.

We source fresh herbs, vegetables, and meats from trusted Tasmanian farmers and coastal suppliers, ensuring every ingredient tells a story of place and pride. It’s an experience where fine dining meets authenticity – confident, warm, and full of heart.

Join us for dinner Monday to Saturday, with both an à la carte and Chef’s Tasting Menu available. We recommend bookings on weekends, as tables fill quickly during this new Campania season.
